I’m Colton Reyes, owner of North Desert Moving. Maricopa County is the big one — Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Glendale — and it’s where a huge share of Verde Valley families end up moving to or from, down AZ-260 to the I-17 interchange at Camp Verde and straight south. We’ve run that corridor since I opened the doors in 2016.
The Phoenix run is a different animal than a Cottonwood-to-Sedona hop: flat freeway miles, valley heat that tops 110°F in summer, and Phoenix-metro apartment complexes with loading-dock reservations and parking permits my crew books ahead of move day.
Towns We Cover in Maricopa County
- Phoenix — downtown high-rises, sprawling valley subdivisions
- Scottsdale — resort-corridor homes, gated communities
- Tempe — ASU-area apartments and rentals
- Glendale — westside family neighborhoods
Flat-Rate Pricing — Maricopa County
| Crew | Hourly Rate | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| 2 movers + truck | $159/hr | Blankets, dollies, shrink-wrap, floor protection |
| 3 movers + truck | $209/hr | All of the above plus extra hands for a Scottsdale gate-code or high-rise elevator job |
One-hour minimum. Flat rate locked in writing before we load — the AZ-260/I-17 drive down to the valley is built into the quote our long-haul lead Reuben Castillo writes up front.
What a Maricopa County Move Looks Like
Most of what we run into Phoenix-metro is full-house relocation — a Cottonwood family taking a Scottsdale job, a Tempe ASU rental turnover, a Glendale household moving up to the Verde Valley for the slower pace. Our long-distance board handles the I-17 haul both directions, and Reuben’s crew knows which valley apartment complexes require a loading-dock window and which don’t.
For the Phoenix end of the job we also run apartment turnovers around ASU and downtown, and commercial office moves for Verde Valley businesses expanding into the valley. Same North Desert Moving crew loads in Cottonwood and unloads in Phoenix — no handoff to a second truck.

A pair of polos alongside the rig ticking at $159/hr, or a signed Cottonwood figure that consolidates the entire Maricopa County haul onto one countersigned page
Colton’s Old Town Cottonwood crew has already worked the Jerome switchback lots, the mesa stucco-ranch subdivisions, the rural well-and-septic acreage and the Old Town storefront curb parking across Maricopa County plenty of times.
